Andesine originates from the unique terroirs of Gualtallary, El Peral, and Las Compuertas, nestled in the heart of the Andes. These distinct regions contribute to the wine's complexity and elegance, each bringing their own characteristics to the blend.
The clusters were transported to the winery in trucks equipped with thermal blankets and classified manually. Our winemaking approach respects the origin of each plot, following the concept "one plot, one tank." For this vintage, the barrel room consisted of 80% French oak and 20% of a blend of Austrian, Slovenian, and German oak. Maturation was carried out 40% in 225-liter barrels, 40% in 400-liter barrels, and 20% in 2,500-liter foudres, 50% of which were new oak.
At first glance, Andesine 2022 captivates with its deep ruby red color and violet hues. The nose is filled with intense notes of fresh red fruits such as cherries, currants, and plums, accompanied by touches of herbs and flowers reminiscent of violets and lavender. Gradually, subtle spicy notes with hints of vanilla, cedar, and licorice develop from the elegant integration with the oak. The palate is refreshingly smooth, showcasing great personality, elegant tannins, and a sharp, balanced acidity. Andesine 2022 invites us to savor its freshness and complex youth, while also promising a fascinating evolution over the years.
